6.) After entering your phone number, click on the Send SMS or Call me button. Yahoo will send a Verification Code via text message or call (depending on the option selected by you).

7.) Enter the Verification Code in the prompted field and click on the Verify button.

8.) If the verification gets completed successfully, you will be directed to the next page with a Success message. Also, you will be suggested to generate an App Password in case you access your Yahoo account using iOS mail or Outlook. This is important because such applications don’t support two-step verification and require a special password to access your Yahoo account on them.

9.) If you wish to generate an app password, click on the Create app passwords button. However, if you don’t wish to generate app passwords, click on the Skip for now option.
